When we work as Team...

Team work and collaboration is an enormous, if not vital, part of what makes Reconnecting Families a huge success.  The participants that we support have needs, then we at RF set the ball into motion to help fill those voids, and therefore make their chances of success that much better.

Last week a staff member in the Juvenile Court approached RF when she determined a dire neccessity of a participant named Tameka.  Tameka was in urgent need of 1 baby crib, mattress, and bedding.  Her child A'mira was already 4 days old and had nowhere to lay her head.  The team at RF got to work and within less than a week had acquired a brand new mattress, bedding and crib.  Not just that, but a few probabation officers here at the Juvenile Court took time out of their afternoons and went to Tameka's home and installed the crib.

Mission accomplished in just a few short days!  This is the kind of team work we do, and why we all love it so much.  A big thanks to Justin O'Dell and the Marietta Kiwanis for supplying the crib and mattress and to local donors for providing brand new bedding.  Also, a thanks to Donta Justice and Jamey Green for their willingness to set up the crib for Tameka and her small child.  Thanks to Kathy Gorrell for taking the time to reach out and fill the need.
