Reconnecting Families, in conjunction with Cobb GOP, had a fishing derby on June 9th at Marietta City Laurel Park. The event was a huge success! Many kids, who had never been fishing before, had an amazing opportunity to try something new. Everyone received a fishing rod for free! The derby was for about 55 to 100 kids. Many volunteers came to help bait a hook and play games with the children. Many cleaned up and offered encouragement to parents! Thank you to everyone who made this amazing event possible!!
