Come out and see The Chic Peach!

The Chic Peach takes an inventive, new approach on the art of jewelry. Women of all ages love jewelry, so why not use pieces of jewelry from all decades to create a new and improved piece of jewelry? Chic Peach creates unique jewelry that has been restored and restyled. The majority of The Chic Peach's inventory is vintage with a hint of delicacy and glamour. Unmatched, shabby, tarnished, or old fashioned jewelry pieces that linger in the bottom of people's jewelry boxes are exactly the kind of pieces Chic Peach loves to bring back to life! Chic Peach's goal is to bring the same passion and characteristics pieces of jewelry once had, back in newly modernized, beautiful items of jewelry.

Thank you Marietta Kiwanis!!!

Reconnecting Families would like to give a big thank you to the Marietta Kiwanis Club for their donation of $500.00 for new cribs and bedding for the children of our participants!

The Marietta Kiwanis Club has been present in our community since 1930, which was shortly after the founding of Kiwanis International. The organization has been a strong participant in community service over the years, and has been such a wonderful help to the participants of Reconnecting Families. Marietta Kiwanis consists of many passionate and generous members who are avid supporters of outreaching to children in the Marietta community.

The Marietta Kiwanis Club hosted a wonderful lunch last Thursday to award the check to Reconnecting Families. At the lunch were many Kiwanis Club members, including Debbie Ponder, who is also a member of the Reconnecting Families' board of directors. We are so grateful to have an amazing board to represent us in the community! Also in attendance at this Kiwanis function was former Governor, Roy Barnes, who was there to show his support for Kiwanis and the community. The Executive Director of Reconnecting Families, Brin Black, was also there representing Reconnecting Families to accept the check. It was a wonderful event, and we would like to thank Ms. Ellen Springer, the Marietta Kiwanis President, for presenting the check and being a wonderful asset to the Marietta community!

Thank you so much to the fabulous Marietta Kiwanis Club! Our community is very grateful to have you there to support all of us, and you are most appreciated!

Here they come again! Vendor Spotlights for the 2012 Shop for a Cause event!

Mark your calendars everyone! You won't want to miss this!

Johnnie Gabriel has been in the baking business since 1989, and has a wonderful restaurant/bakery located on Whitlock Avenue in Marietta. Apparently the cooking and baking talent is genetic, because Johnnie is a cousin of one of America's favorite cooks, Paula Deen! Chosen best of Atlanta 7 times by Atlanta magazine, Gabriels has been called “The Little Shop of Wonders.”

Gabriel's is best known for their delicious desserts, which range from cookies to specialty desserts such as wedding cakes. Another great service Gabriel's provides is shipping large layer cakes and large pound cakes to most of the US states using 2 day air service! Remember this if you have a relative or friend in another state and would like to send them a delicious cake for the holidays!

Johnnie Gabriel is coming to the Shop for a Cause Event to take dessert orders for the holidays and to sell autographed copies of her cookbook! Remember to come out and get a jump start on ordering your yummy holiday goodies for the family, and while you are at it, pick up her cookbooks to give to loved ones for the holiday season!
